Everyday Faith

everyday faith, god, and christianity

When we think of living our faith, we often remember exalted moments, strong emotions or deep insights. But what about our everyday, hum-drum moments. Where is God while we are driving the kids to activities, preparing dinner, or changing diapers? How are we living our faith as we fold laundry, make our way through the work day, or pay the bills? These scriptures are ones to turn to at anytime to invigorate our everyday faith.

But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint (Is 40:31).

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Eph 2:10).

I am the the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing (Jn 15:5).

The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Phil 3:20-21).

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8).
