Children are often overlooked. Small, weak, and frequently unable to speak for themselves, they are often treated like second class citizens obscuring their true dignity and value. These biblical verses remind us of the divine perspective: that children should not be overlooked, but looked to as models of faith.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Mt 19:14).
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God" (MT 5:9).
"For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed" (Rom 8:19).
