Ways to Talk with Your Kids about God in Everyday Life

Develop an intentional devotional time as a family.
Life is busy. But we should set aside time to have an intentional devotional time as a family. The Scripture challenges us parents to teach God's commands to our children.
Listen for "God moments" within your conversations with your kids.
Sometimes, our tendency as parents is we forget to lean into how the Spirit is moving within a conversation. We allow our emotions to cloud our judgment. The Scripture encourages us to always allow our conversations to be full of grace so that we may know how to give an answer to them.
Memorize Scripture with your kids.
There is great power in being able to say Scripture, memorize it and most of all, apply it with your child specially when they need to hear an encouraging word from the Lord.
Encourage moments of thanksgiving.
Gratefulness is not only polite, it’s a core value when it comes to our spiritual lives. God has challenged us to encourage our kids to build an attitude of thanksgiving into their daily lives, recognizing Him as the Giver of all good things.
Parents have a responsibility to teach children about God. The living and breathing Word of God begins to impact our children from the moment we begin read it to them, pray it over them, and declare it over their lives. Introducing our children to the Word of God is one of the best ways to train them up.
"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7
