Unashamed Faith: A Christian Mom’s Bold Example

As a Christian mom, I recently witnessed something so unique and inspiring that it filled my heart with pride. It was a simple moment, yet profoundly impactful—one that made me reflect on my own journey of raising my children in faith.

While riding the subway, I saw a mother reading the Bible to her young son, who appeared to be around eight years old. She read with confidence, completely unbothered by the fact that they were in a public space. Her faith was resolute, and her focus was clear—teaching her child God’s Word, just as we are called to do.

Her son, however, looked a bit uncomfortable. He noticed the eyes of curious passengers, and I could see the uncertainty in his expression. When our eyes met for a brief second, I offered him a reassuring smile and nod. It was a small gesture, but I wanted him to know that his mother’s boldness was something to be proud of.

This moment left me with an important question: Are we, as Christian moms, just as willing to share our faith so boldly? In a world where biblical values are often challenged, do we remain steadfast in guiding our children, no matter the setting?

The Bible calls us to teach our children diligently (Deuteronomy 6:6-7), not just in private but in every part of life. This mother’s quiet courage reminded me that our mission as Christian parents is to nurture our children’s faith, whether at home, at church, or even in the middle of a crowded subway.

Let this be an encouragement to us all—may we never shy away from sharing God’s truth with our children. Instead, let’s embrace every opportunity to sow seeds of faith in their hearts, no matter where we are.
